Mackenzie lives in Itasca and has been involved in NEDSRA programs for almost a year. She participates in many different types of programs from Kids Klub, and Cooking 101, to Pool School. While she loves all of her programs, her absolute favorite is Cheerleading! Frequently, you can find her cheering for one of the many NEDSRA Huskie teams on a Saturday with friends. When asked what she likes most about NEDSRA programs, Mackenzie replies “I can be myself where people like me. I love laughing with my friends and having fun”. Mackenzie was also asked about her favorite memory. “My favorite memory was when I was taking swim lessons and was able to swim by myself for the first time.” Mackenzie’s parents are also happy they found NEDSRA. “Mackenzie has had the opportunity to meet so many new people and develop her social skills” her mother said. “The best part of NEDSRA is that people accept you for who you are.”
